What is Tantastic?

Tantastic has been created specifically with the concepts of speed and ease in mind. That’s because we didn’t want to create just another self tan, we wanted to create a tan that was fundamentally different to other tans on the market; different because it was created to suit fast busy lifestyles, for women who simply want to tan and go.

Should I moisturise before applying tan?

The short answer is no! Moisturiser can act as a barrier, therefore you should not moisturise immediately before tanning. A small amount of moisturiser, however, can be added to areas of dry skin such as elbows and knees to avoid the tan clinging and appearing darker. It is important to exfoliate before tanning.

Is Tantastic suitable for everyone?

Yes. Our tans are all enriched with high quality moisturising ingredients such as Isopentyldiol Glycerin and Aloe Vera, Pro Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E so they nourish, moisturise and condition the skin to leave it feeling soft & supple and looking beautiful,

Does Tantastic smell?

No, it doesn’t smell of fake tan if that’s the smell you are referring to! However, not only does it not smell of fake tan, it now comes with a beautiful Sunkissed fragrance which makes your skin smell delightful – allowing it to work perfectly with your lifestyle.

What is the best way to apply Tantastic?

We always recommend using a mitt when applying fake tan – that’s because the mitt allows the tan to easily glide onto the skin and the lotion proof barrier inside the mitt will protect the palms of the hands from staining.

How soon after application can I dress?

Not only is Tantastic fast and simple to apply, it will also dry in as little as 5 minutes, so you can dress immediately and get on with your day. In other words, it’s absolutely perfect for a last minute night out; apply it in a flash, dress and you’re done!

What should I wear after I apply Tantastic?

We recommend you wear loose comfortable clothing after your tan has been fully applied. Just put on your comfiest, chill out clothes (maybe dig out that onesie that you thought you’d never actually wear?) and after 6-8 hours, you can wash off the colour guide and you’re good to go.

Will Tantastic stain my clothes?

As with any tan, you should avoid it going onto your clothes. However, should a small amount of tan transfer to your clothes, it will wash off so never panic!

Is there a choice of colour depth?

Yes, there are a number of different options when it comes to colour depth. With our extensive range of light, medium and dark tan products, Tantastic is designed to meet your demand for knowing exactly what your getting from a tan. Added information on the pack also clearly outlines the speed and ease of application.

When can I wash?

Sounds like an impassioned plea doesn’t it?! Short answer is that washing and vigorous exercise should be avoided for at least 8 hours after application to prevent tan wear off.

How long will Tantastic tan last on my body?

Your Tantastic tan will fade naturally and last for up to 7 days. It is important to moisturise daily however, as moisturising locks in hydration and ensures an even wear off.

Does Tantastic contain sunscreen?

No. Tantastic tans do not offer protection from the sun. You can however, apply high factor sunscreen over your Tantastic tan when your skin is exposed to the sun.

Are there any times when I should not apply fake tan?

Tantastic (or indeed any fake tan for that matter), should not be applied over eczema, psoriasis, cuts or abrasions. In addition, if you are pregnant or are concerned about skin allergies, please check with your GP before tanning.

What is DHA?

The active ingredient in self-tanning products is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). It is a non-toxic substance that reacts with the amino acids in the outermost layer of the skin and produces a brown pigment (colour) called melanoidin.

DHA doesn’t go beyond the outer layer of skin and therefore is not absorbed into the body.

What are Parabens?

Parabens are a class of chemicals widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. There have been some reports that parabens can cause reactions to some skin types and that’s exactly why all Tantastic tanning products are completely paraben free.

Can Tantastic be used during pregnancy?

It’s recommended to avoid the use of self-tanning products in the first trimester of pregnancy due to changes in hormone levels, which can make allergies more likely.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding tanning during pregnancy however, please consult your GP before use.

Is Tantastic ever tested on animals?
